El Hierro Geopark Interpretation Centre

The Centre has two different buildings connected by an interpretative path in a volcanic field.

The first one shows Canarian Volcanism, particularly the volcanism which formed El Hierro Island. Technology gives a unique experience thanks to an interactive wall showing different volcanic landscapes. There’s a presence detector similar to a Kinect and the screen provides the visitor information with texts and photos.

The second one consists of an audiovisual spectacle with images reproducing La Restinga underwater volcanic eruption. Sound and images take the visitor to a singular and natural phenomenon, starting with a slightly bubbling before the eruption starts.
