A project for the technological improvement of homes at almost 4,000 meters high in Peru manages to raise the temperature of homes by 12 degrees. This system consists of an enclosure adjacent to the house that has a wall exposed to the sun. The holes specifically placed on the wall of the Trombe wall allow the sun-warmed air to circulate in the house, in turn the cold air returns to the enclosure exposed to the sun, providing heating to the house.
For the success of this implement it is important to isolate the roof with burlap, a local material that has the function of retaining the heat transferred by the Trombe Wall inside the room. The circle of these improvements that is applied in order to heat homes is closed with the reform of the kitchen. The new triangular shape structure is environmentally friendly, is suitable for cooking, makes efficient use of fuel and becomes a source of heat.
