Biosphere Smart Initiative approved as UNESCO partner platform
During the 24th session of the International Coordinating Committee of the UNESCO MaB Program held in Paris between 11-14 July 2012, the Biosphere Smart Initiative was approved as a platform associated with UNESCO. Link to the Council's final published report.
It is UNESCO's interest that this initiative transcend the World Network of Biosphere Reserves and that this be its collaborative platform specializing in key issues such as energy sustainability (renewable and energy efficiency), green economies, intelligent urban spaces and climate change.
