Guillermina Yanguas, the director general of Quality and Environmental Assessment and Natural Environment, defended yesterday to value biodiversity through nature tourism, after emphasizing the "special responsibility" of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) in Conservation of the Spanish natural heritage.
Guillermina Yanguas said during his speech at the conference "Natural Protection of Humanity-Sustainable Tourism" held in Madrid and opened with the German ambassador, Reinhard Silberberg.
He added that the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, together with the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, has developed a Sectorial Plan for Tourism of Nature and Biodiversity, which is in the last phase of administrative procedure, and "reinforces The relationship between conservation of biodiversity and nature tourism and offers a framework of general planning for the promotion of tourism of a sustainable nature in Spain.
