Until September 3 there is a deadline to submit proposals, by groups, institutions and individuals, to the awards of the Biosphere Reserve to be delivered on October 7. The selected, in a maximum of five modalities, explained Thursday Juan Antonio de la Hoz, councilor of the Cabildo, will receive a reproduction of the diploma that Unesco gave to Lanzarote in 1993 and a bronze reproduction of an endemic species.
The election will be made by 33 members of the Reserve Council during September. The winners must be chosen unanimously, an aspect that is collected in the bases with a view to these awards are an annual classic to celebrate the appointment of Lanzarote as a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco on October 7, 1993.
