The Deputy Minister of Sustainability of the Government of the Canary Islands, Guacimara Medina, presented before the members of the Parliamentary Environment Committee held today the commitment to promote the Canarian Network of Biosphere Reserves. The Canary Islands Network of Biosphere Reserves is created by Decree 103/2010, of July 29, which also creates the Coordination Council of the Canarias Biosphere Reserves Network and approves its Regulation of organization and operation.
Among the objectives, create a working group for the launch of the "Canarias" brand. Biosphere Reserve ", as well as an elaboration of the UNESCO initiative" Biosphere Smart "as an intelligent tool oriented to the Biosphere Network, and finally, preparation of the report of the candidature of the Anaga Biosphere Reserve.
