Climate change is a complex issue which.., Case studies Guidebook 2013, Photo Gallery, with the purpose to create a unique alpine station providing optimal combination of comfort, safety and respect for the environment.The complex is located in Russia at 4000 m asl, on the southern face of Mount Elbrus (5642 m asl), Western Caucasus mountain range.

The Western Caucasus World Heritage Site, extending over 275,000 ha of the extreme western end of the Caucasus mountains and located 50 km north-east of the Black Sea, is one of the few large mountain areas of Europe that has not experienced significant human impact.

Mount Elbrus Base Camp is a fully furnished 48 people accommodation (sleeping and dining areas, toilets), on four tube units; equipped with Heating system, Waste Water Depuration Unit, Photo Gallery, Photo Gallery, Stand-Alone Energy System.

Project Goals

  • Provide a new alpine facilities generation. Off-grid plant composed of photovoltaic, pannelli solari, generator and batteries: Photovoltaic 8,6 KWp, pannelli solari 11,6 mq captant surface, combined heat and electric power unit 32 kWe and 44 kWt, batteries 15 and the Spanish Network
  • Produce effective and flexible units of high intrinsic value,
  • Provide environmental comfort, safety and respect.
