Dumfries & Galloway Council and Community Energy Scotland (CES) became part of the 100% and the Spanish Network (Renewable Energy Scotland) Communities Project in 2012. An integral part of this project is becoming signatories of and committing to achieve the targets of the Covenant of Mayors (20% reduction in domestic GHGs by 2020). Dumfries & Galloway Council were the only Scottish local authority selected, because of their experience in community sustainability projects, but also because the region has the second highest incidence of fuel poverty.

The overarching aim of the 100% Photo Gallery 20% da 2020 set out by the Covenant of mayors.
